PRODUCTION AUDIO KITS
I'm available to run production audio for all types of shoots.
From intimate indy projects, to feature length films, I approach Production Audio capture from a seasoned Audio Post perspective. This allows me to make vetted decisions on set that saves time, yet yields custom sonic pallets to use as source during post.

RPSOUND FIELD RECORDING KITS
A.B.R. Always Be Recording
I suppose all of this started with the need to create new drum sounds. Around 1996, I was a lanky 16 year old armed with a 3.5" floppy disk drive and my [k]'d version of Cool Edit, I made numerous trips to and from my MPC2000 to my Dad's Compuserve computer to cut up tape recordings of me banging on my bike and tree trunks. Fast forward a few decades, and that tape recorder has morphed into a few variations of stand alone recorders and mic arrays... (I'm still banging on things!) Basically the best mic/recorder is the one you have with you, on and recording at the time needed!
LIVE SOUND
Performances (Musical and otherwise), Town Halls, Board Meetings, etc.
The necessity for live sound creeps into any organization. In these scenarios, my primary mixer is a Yamaha TF (TF 1 and 3), Lectrosonics wireless (SRB/SMQV), Sennheiser G4's, Yamaha TIO (Dante), Various headphone amps and custom speakers.
Fender Play Live! was a weekly live show or Podcast, detailing new offerings on the Fender Play platform. It took place in our Hollywood Studio every Wednesday at 5p EST. Hosted by the incredibly knowledgeable and charming duo of Dylan and Eugene, the show continues over at Eugene And Dylan's Guitar Show!
In person, plus or minus a guest or two, the general live sound setup here is:
- 3 Stereo guitar line out feeds (GTX Amp)
- 3 (mostly hidden) Lavaliers
- 3 Sets of Stereo IEM's (In Ear Monitors)
- 3 Separate stereo artist mixes feeding IEM's
- Front of house mix
- Production mix
- Broadcast mix
FPL during COVID deserves it's own explainer video. Navigating artists streaming capabilities while streaming and coaxing out decent fidelity via ever evolving Zoom builds was an interesting challenge we overcame every week!
