AUDIO SUPERVISION AT FENDER
Our team is responsible for NPI's or New Product Introduction. This studio team produces all of the demo content used when presenting new Fender gear to the world. To get it right for all stakeholders is as exciting as it is challenging. Personally I love overcoming production audio hiccups on the day, then having the privilege to extinguish audio post fires on the same productions. The opportunity to execute and deliver pristine mixes to client spec is exciting/fulfilling. This requires many moving parts and plugins! I've worn many audio hats at Fender. The Fender Play project is an amazing undertaking. I'm so proud of the team and what we have accomplished! During the Play experience, it was a well oiled machine which produced over 6,000 pieces of unique content that currently populates the Fender Play app! This means my audio post team and I ingested/mixed/delivered over 6,000 individual .AAF’s! I mixed about 90% myself, while a vetted team of LA’s finest audio post editors helped with the rest. It was a huge undertaking, but I was forced to take my automation and file management to a new level. Each one of the assets in the Finder screengrab video below had to be mixed, mastered and delivered individually. The scripting involved deserves it's own explainer page. Long live Fender Play!
